Remember the Deer/Animal Language That the Children Created?

img_0756

On Wednesday we trekked to the woods. We hung our very first message to the deer/animals on a tree. Remember the deer/animal language that the children created? Now they’re actually using it to communicate with the deer that they spotted earlier during the year and widening their communication to all animals. In this blog post you are viewing the children’s very first message.

The translation of the message:
The group of children in the upper right hand of the page means communication.
The larger picture at the bottom of the page is a deer.
It reads, “We want to communicate with you, deer/animals.”

Reminders:

  • Please dress warmly on cold days; we do go outdoors. Scarves, hats, gloves/mittens are appreciated.
  • We received two beautiful warm caps today for our Friendship House collection. THANKS
  • On Monday please send in the gift that your child has made for a secret friend. The gift shouldn’t be store bought. Examples: a pebble, a shell, a piece of tree bark, a message, a feather, a pine cone, etc.  The children could use these items as a base to create a gift by decorating them, or the natural items would make beautiful gifts just as they are found in nature.  I realize these are all natural items, but the children really do favor these over any plastic commercial items we have in our room. The gift isn’t limited to natural items. Please remember to wrap the gift and label it: To: and From:
