Birthdays are special events! They deserve special attention. You can see the intensity of the sewing project in the photos in this post. During this school year we’ve decided to allow the children to create birthday gifts using the language of sewing. You can see two children in two different photos sewing the birthday request – a rainbow. To increase the complexity of the work, we asked the children to interview the birthday person. The committee chooses one particular request from the interview. The next step is to draw this request. And the last step is the transference of the drawn picture to cloth using the same color thread that the birthday person requested that has been drawn on paper and sewing needles onto a piece of cloth.
