They Call It a Small Coconut.

At a large meeting the children decided that the deer body parts should be natural and manmade items. The children began a scavenger hunt for these items.

The ears are cone coffee filters made to look like deer ears shaded with black and brown sharpies with a little bit of the cone filters left unshaded. The nose was found in our natural items area of our room. The children located it in the Backyard. They call it a small coconut. Half of it is used for the nose. The eyes are large buttons. The antlers are small tree limbs clumped and held together by wire. The tail is a pine cone found in the woods on one of our Wild Wilderness Wednesday hikes.
