What Contrast!

I’ve included this photo as a blog post because I’m in a reflective mood.  Blogging is a mighty reflective tool.  Perusing the room one afternoon after the children had gone home I happened upon this display of items.

I thought it was a powerful statement of the variety of creative arranging that happens everyday.  What contrast!  A dried gourd, a shiny silver vase, twigs of different lengths, and two small Lego structures.  The children had found this resting place for their Lego creations sharing a ledge with a gourd and a twig arrangement.

Our room has noteworthy museum-like exhibitions that often go unnoticed.  My afternoon walkthrough is often one of the best times to view the children’s ingenious array of work.
