I noticed this earring on one of our children this week. So cool!!! Not the fact that the child is wearing an earring, but the creativity and thought processes happening within this child’s mind. She perused the materials areas and a sequined star and freezer tape caught her eye. She went to work creating this beautiful art work. I am thinking maybe a future jewelry designer in the making.
I am impressed that our children prefer to make their own designs rather than use existing items in the room. Many varied materials are used each day by our children. They are important as languages to tell their stories. This one example showcases fine motor as this child worked with such small materials in creating this art. A closer look shows detailed, crafted work.
We can take this example and use it in a shapes math lesson.
