They Challenged My Own Knowledge of Patterns

During CreaTHINK time last week the children played with patterns.  This mosaic of photos gives evidence to the creative juices flowing.  Each child chose an area of the room to explore patterns.  Some of the areas where pattern work happened were:

  • cubes basket
  • office area
  • white board
  • observation deck
  • magna tiles
  • nature

I was impressed that the children were moved to explore beyond basic patterns.  Unhibited  by strict pattern rules, they explored and created patterns that challenged my own knowledge of patterns.
