He Was Making Number Soup



During CreaTHINK , I happened upon this work.  The children were working with numbers 1-20, and beyond.  The children chose an area of interest and integrated numbers into their play.

As I stopped by the nature area and had a conversation with one child working there, I was informed that he was making number soup.  You can see in these photos, he had a couple of measuring tools – a tape measure and a yardstick.  He was using the numbers on the measuring tools as guides to writing numbers.
