On Friday of last week the children planted 50 tulip bulbs as part of Tulip Blitz, a school-wide, tulip planting project at Mann. After a short demonstration, the children were on their own to plant the bulbs. They used a bulb-planting tool to dig a hole. The bulb-planting tool held the dirt to cover the bulb after the children placed plant food and the tulip bulb root side down and pointy side up. Then they covered the bulb with the dirt in the bulb-planting tool. They gently covered the bulb with more dirt and leveled the dirt with the surrounding dirt. And finally, they placed a white marker used to identify the plant planted in that particular space.
I’ll think of this labor of love during the cold winter days.
All of that love will surely generate beauty!
