Learning a new language is challenging. The Bitty Brown Bats are embracing the challenge of learning the language of clay.
In this blog post you can see the children playing with clay. When you visit our classroom, notice the display board just outside our door on the right side. There you can view documentation about learning this new language through photos and excerpts of conversation at the art/clay table.
Playing with clay allows the children:
- To get their hands dirty
- To experience cool/wet/dry sensations
- To strengthen hand muscles
- To create 3-D structures
- To develop both fine and gross motor skills
Come by and experience clay with the children. Document the experience and share it with us through notes, video, and/or written notes.
