The message area of our classroom is one of the most active areas of our room. In this photo you can see two of the children putting messages in mailboxes for their friends. We are seeing the children move from large paper with huge globs of glue and many beads to smaller pieces of paper with less beads that are more strategically placed on the paper. The children are becoming more sophisticated in how they develop messages. Some of the children are using symbols and/or inventive spelling to communicate their messages. You can get in on the fun too, by writing messages at school or at home and placing them in the children’s mailboxes.
