We use live animal cams as provocation in our block area.  This week we had a live wild bird animal cam running.  The children began to experiment with building bird nests and bird houses.  The two photos in this post give you an idea of what that looked like.  The first photo is more of a traditional bird nest made from twigs.  The second is a bird house made from blocks in our block area.  It’s a bird house with an automatic bird feeder.  We met together after some time of work with the students who created these two projects.  They presented their projects to their peers.  Their peers got to ask questions and make comments about the projects.  We have conversations from two different days on clipboards in our room.  We do hope that you read our documentation on our walls.  It will help you to understand the work that we do.  The children and I read these daily.  It drives our work.
