Beautiful, Poetic and Impressionable

The children discovered these seed-like plants this week while playing outside.  This dried up plant, barely survived the cold winter, and was given the gift of rebirth by the children.  They used it as popcorn and created recipes for various events.  They used a birdbath in the garden as a stove top to create the recipes.  As I listened in, the children were creating celebratory festivities.  They wrote the script as they acted it out.  They created imaginary menus using language and math.  It was beautiful, poetic, and impressionable.
