Inspired by Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education

I am a pre k public school teacher in Washington, DC.  I am inspired by the practices of the leaders of the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education.  Naturally, my classroom will look and feel differently;  it is not a facsimile of a Reggio Emilia classroom.

The leaders of this approach in Reggio Emilia, Italy, continue to research and be learners even though they have been at this work for many years.  They are role models for me in that as teachers we are always researching and learning.

This space is dedicated to the parents of the students in my classroom.  I am hopeful that together we can become co-learners with the children as we dialogue about the learning that happens.
